The ancient sky

"Teach me your mood, O patient stars!
Who climb each night the ancient sky,
Leaving on space no shade, no scars,
No trace of age, no fear to die."

~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Gosh, that RWE really knew what he was doing when he put a pen to paper. His poetry is pure magic!

Love this post, Kathleen. Pretty to look at and literally takes you to heaven and back.

Beautiful. One time in Big Bend where the night sky is so awesome, a friend had night vision binoculars. When I looked at the sky I was just astounded. All the dark spaces between stars were no longer there. they were filled with stars.

Beautiful picture, I love looking up at the stars, makes me realise how tiny we are.
And the poetry is simply beautiful; it evokes such a sense of peace.
LOVED THE PICTURE. Enjoyed the poem.
