What a way to start the day

Finally, our parched prairie is getting rain. What a blessing.

Still, hanging out at the bus stop in the drizzle can make for one bad hair day.

So this morning, I tucked myself into the covered entrance of The Heart of Tibet store to take shelter from the rain while I waited for the bus.

For some reason I decided to look up. That simple act was one of the loveliest things I did all day, so I thought I'd share what I saw:

Like Narnia, without the snow

The Heart of Tibet in in the heart of Linden Hills

The color of prayer

May your morning start peacefully, too. . .

Hi Kathleen,

Love the Narnia-esque pic. Was it dark when you started out?

Maybe I need more of those prayer flags. We're still waiting for rain. Things are going to start dying soon. We had a sky full of rain clouds pass over yesterday but alas, they moved on and rained on some other part of this dry land. I don't begrudge them it, but it sure would be nice to get some too.

The lantern and prayer flags do make lovely photos and an inspirational start to a day.

Hi Kathleen,

What lovely visions in an unexpected place. Lucky you had your camera along.

And sorry about the confusion about the geese pictures. We were in sync. But I must have forgotten to mention that I posted mine on my Facebook, not on my blog. Sorry!

Hope you're having a lovely weekend. I just got home from the river.

Huggies and blessings,

Renie

Love it all, but the first one, "Like Narnia, without the snow" is priceless.

Following David's POTD links. This one is definitely a winner. Amazing what's there when we look outside our own rut, which applies to blogland as well as waiting for a bus in the rain. Have a great day!

What a beautiful morning blessing.
These are lovely. When i lived in San Francisco, my roommate hung prayer flags in our room. Absolutely gorgeous, and your pictures are making me so nostalgic for my little room in the Bay!

Keep 'em coming!
