If one is patient

Emptiness is bound to bloom,
like hundreds of grasses blossoming.

hello kathleen, a lovely image that marries well to the brief and rich words. patience - something that arrives with time and the knowing that anything forced is often much less than something which is allowed to grow in its own time and in its own way. so much of allowing life to happen is a matter of getting out of the way and letting it become of its own accord...... thanks for this. steven

Emptiness as in Buddhism, perhaps. That might bloom in a spiritual way. Or emptiness, as in desert. The desert blooms with unexpected beauty, much more appreciated because it appears barren to the less discerning eye.

I always think of emptiness as being a time in which there's a lot going on under the surface. The challenge is leaving it alone so it can bloom without me messing it up.

I want to write this down and carry it with me.
